Terms of Service

The agreement between you and AnglicanNG.

Effective date: 4 July 2026
Last updated: 7 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Mezie Platforms Limited (RC 8279418), a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria with its registered address at Christopher Okonkwo's Close, Mmimi, Nawfia, Anambra State, Nigeria ("Mezie Platforms", "we", "us", "our"), the owner and operator of AnglicanNG — the platform available at anglicanng.com and its subdomains, including church microsites and the AnglicanNG shop (together, "the Platform").

By creating an account or using the Platform you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What the Platform is

AnglicanNG connects Anglicans and Anglican churches online: member profiles and community feeds, church microsites, prayer walls, messaging and communities, attendance and church administration tools, a jobs board, a music library, Bible reading and quizzes, giving, and a marketplace. The Platform is a technology service. It is not a church, a diocese, or an organ of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), and nothing on the Platform is an official pronouncement of the Church unless the Church itself publishes it.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18 you may only use it with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian.
  • You must give accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for your account and everything done with it. Keep your password safe and tell us immediately at support@anglicanng.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • One person, one account. You may not impersonate anyone, register on behalf of another person without authority, or hold yourself out as a church officer or clergy you are not.

3. Churches, organisations, and office holders

  • Churches and organisations registered on the Platform are vetted before going live, and offices claimed by members are subject to verification. We may suspend or remove a church, organisation, or office holding that we reasonably believe is not genuine.
  • Leaders granted administrative tools (attendance, rosters, circulars, document vaults, oversight reports) must use them only for legitimate church administration and must respect members' privacy. Access ends with the office that conferred it.
  • Content a church publishes on its microsite is that church's responsibility.

4. Your content

  • You keep ownership of everything you post — posts, comments, prayer requests, messages, photos, music, documents, and other material ("Your Content").
  • You grant Mezie Platforms a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resizing images), and display Your Content solely to operate and promote the Platform. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups kept for a limited period and content already shared with others (for example a message you sent).
  • You must own or have the rights to whatever you post. This matters especially for music uploads and documents: do not upload material that infringes someone else's copyright.
  • We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not sell it.

5. Community conduct

The Platform serves a faith community, and we hold it to that standard. You must not:

  • harass, bully, threaten, or defame anyone, or post hateful content about any person or group;
  • post content that is obscene, pornographic, or gratuitously violent;
  • post false or misleading information presented as fact, or impersonate churches, clergy, or other members;
  • use prayer walls, feeds, communities, or direct messages to spam, advertise without permission, solicit money from members, or run fraudulent schemes;
  • share another person's private information without their consent;
  • upload malware, scrape the Platform, probe its security, or interfere with its operation; or
  • use the Platform for anything unlawful.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Members can report content; moderators (including church-level moderators for their own spaces) review reports and act on them. Where content or conduct suggests a risk to someone's safety or a crime, we may involve law enforcement.

6. Prayer, pastoral, and spiritual content

Prayer requests, sermons, devotionals, and counsel shared on the Platform are offered by members and churches in good faith. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you or someone you know is in danger, contact the emergency services, not the Platform.

7. Giving and payments

  • Payments on the Platform are processed by Paystack. We never see or store your card details.
  • Gifts and dues you give through the Platform go to the church, ministry, artist, or body you chose, less payment-processing fees and any platform fee disclosed at the point of giving. Gifts to a church fund, donation, or ministry settle directly to that beneficiary's own bank account through Paystack — the Platform does not hold or bank your offering on the beneficiary's behalf. Gifts are voluntary and are not refundable, except where the law requires or a payment was made in error — contact us promptly if that happens.
  • We facilitate giving; we are not responsible for how a recipient church or ministry uses the funds it receives.

8. Marketplace

  • The AnglicanNG shop hosts vetted independent vendors. When you buy from the shop, your contract of sale is with the vendor, not with Mezie Platforms — we provide the venue and payment facilitation. Unlike a gift, a shop payment is held by the Platform until the order is fulfilled; a vendor's earnings become available to withdraw only after a clearance period, so that problems with an order can be resolved before payout.
  • Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the quality and lawfulness of their products, delivery of physical goods, and honouring returns and refunds. Report a problem with an order first to the vendor, and to us at support@anglicanng.com if the vendor does not resolve it — we may mediate and may remove vendors who fail members.
  • Digital products are licensed for your personal use and may not be redistributed.

9. Jobs board

Job listings are curated, but we are not the employer, recruiter, or agent for any listing and we do not guarantee any listing's accuracy or outcome. Applications made on external sites are governed by those sites' terms. Never pay anyone to apply for a job; report any listing that asks you to.

10. Bible content and other licensed material

Public-domain Bible translations on the Platform may be read and shared freely. Certain translations are served under licence from their publishers via API.Bible and are for reading on the Platform only — you may not copy, scrape, or redistribute them. All Platform software, design, branding, and content we created belong to Mezie Platforms or its licensors; the AnglicanNG name, emblem, and wordmark may not be used without our written permission.

11. Termination

  • You can stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Platform and its members. Where practical we will warn you first.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content licences already exercised, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive it.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running, accurate, and secure, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that content posted by members or churches is accurate, or that any feature will always remain available. We may add, change, or withdraw features at any time.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Mezie Platforms is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from your use of the Platform; and our total liability for any claim connected to the Platform is limited to ₦10,000. Amounts you give through the Platform to churches, ministries, vendors, or other recipients are payments to them, not to Mezie Platforms. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

14. Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against Mezie Platforms because of content you posted or your breach of these Terms, you agree to indemnify us against the losses and reasonable costs of that claim.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute arises, contact us first at support@anglicanng.com — most issues can be resolved informally. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. For material changes we will update the date above and notify you on the Platform or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the updated Terms. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
