This policy explains how AnglicanNG, operated by Mezie Platforms Limited (RC 8279418), uses cookies and similar technologies on anglicanng.com and its subdomains. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between page visits — for example that you are signed in, or that you prefer dark mode. Similar technologies include browser local storage, which stores a value on your device without sending it to us on every request.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Platform to work and cannot be switched off:
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
anglicanng_session |
Keeps you signed in and maintains your session as you move between pages. | Session |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects forms against cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session |
remember_web_* |
Keeps you signed in if you chose "remember me" at login. | About 13 months |
anglicanng_cookie_consent |
Records that you have acknowledged the cookie banner so we stop showing it. | Long-lived |
Preferences
We store your light/dark appearance choice in your browser's local storage under the
key appearance, so the site looks the way you set it. This value stays on your device.
Analytics
On the production site we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand,
in aggregate, how visitors use the public pages — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come
from, and what devices they use. Google may set its own cookies (names beginning _ga) for
this. We use this information only as aggregate statistics; we do not use it to identify you or to
serve advertising. Google's use of this data is described in
Google's privacy
policy.
3. The cookie banner
When you first visit, a banner tells you the site uses cookies. Choosing "Allow cookies" sets the
anglicanng_cookie_consent cookie so the banner does not reappear. Strictly necessary
cookies are set regardless of the banner, because the Platform cannot function without them.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser's settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using most of the Platform. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
5. Changes and contact
If we add new cookies or change how we use them, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email support@anglicanng.com.
